Rowland Lee

Rowland Lee is one of the UK’s best-known composers of music for animation, with over 600 episodes of various series and short films to his credit. Some of his work includes: Cloudbabies, 64 Zoo Lane, Salut Serge, Pablo, Engie Benjy, Cranston Villas and The Little Reindeer. For choreographer Matthew Bourne, he orchestrated Nutcracker! and Swan Lake. In 2015 he also orchestrated the Washington Ballet’s Swan Lake. Lee's Requiem was performed by the St Petersburg performance of the Requiem in 2011 for which Lee conducted. Musical director/arranger credits include: Over My Shoulder, Ann Veronica, The Amazons, Vanity Fair, Marry Me a Little and the UK premiere of Ruthless! The Amazons, which was co-produced with director/choreographer, Stewart Nicholls, received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Cast Album. In 2016 Rowland created the orchestrations and vocal arrangements for Bumblescratch.
