Kay Hardcore

Nil Kumas aka Kay Hardcore is a young composer of electronic music, Hardcore and Frenchcore. She also plays minimal house under the psendonym of DNA. Born in Mons (in Belgium) in 1993 from turkish background, the music became a need of self expression. The artists who inspired her the most in this musical scene are no others than: Radium, Micropoint, Sonnotek, Ozwalde. The electronic music scene is in constant evolution and revolution. You can get inspiration from any kind of beats and sounds. Kay hardcore focuses her music on rythmics, bass beats and distorted sounds. This makes her signature. Always looking for new inspiration and stay true to your passion. Kay Hardcore: " it still happens to me to listen to commercial music and to go clubbing" What brought you in this Hardcore music scene? " I had 14yo when i went to my first underground party, I found myself in Cornillons's basements in Liège, a very particular place.... I got hooked! I knew it was what i wanted to do! It took me a year to learn about how to mix and play with the tunes, Afterwards the live followed quite naturally" When did you start to play in front of a crowd and where? " I was 15yo, i had to play at a birthday party a whole night and i understood there it will become my passion. I remember the intense feeling, it was like a fever burning inside my head. I wanted to create my own music and share it with people. At 17, I played my first live session, in a free party in the fort of Suarlee in Namur at the Hardcorp Soundsystem. they made me part of their crew afterwards." In spite of her young age, Kay Hardcore has already played in important events like: - Hardcorp benefit - Hardcorp vs clandestine Bass 2014 - The lotus club, blaton - Chill2chill 2015 with Andy tea core and darktek at the head(top) of poster - Gabberfm circuit core - And soon Hardcorp vs clandestine 2015. As well as collaborations: - Trasher aka beast heard - MGS and Freakensis - 2 ÉP is spirit to be made. We wanted to ask a question to Kay Hardcore (out of pure curiosity) What would you say to young artists like you who would dream of a carreer in the hardcore scene? " Never give up!
