Lex Talionis

Swedish electronic body music group from Gothenburg that originated in 1994. The band was started by Kenneth Westlin. He wrote music and lyrics and recorded all instruments and vocals. Music is based on the idea that "we" as human beings are alone in our longing, strength, sorrow and disappointment. Nothing is complete and everything is nothing. The sound is bombastic with a heavy fate-saturated horn at the bottom and often lots of instruments that build up and bridge each other with sacred melodies. Since 1997, Ari Piispanen is also part of the band and has influenced writing with drastic depth and emotional avant-garde.
