MALEFICIUM ARUNGQUILTA band was established in Izhevsk (Russia) in March 2009 by Maxim Gan'kov and Alexei Kirsanov.Maleficium Arungquilta - "Spirits of witchcraft".Maleficium - a crime, a special kind of evil witchcraft (lat).Arungquilta - the evil spirit, or all that belongs to the field of evil, dangerous supernatural. In general, the name of the group Maleficium Arungquilta we translate as witchcraft. Maleficium is witchcraft, that is, (music), and Arungquilta is the one who does it. Having arranged three songs, they began to look for a vocalist. At first they tried the acquaintance of Maxim, but she only attended two rehearsals and was very shy to speak. And once Alexey went home, met a girl in an electric train and said that he had a band and they needed a vocalist. She said that she had a friend and that she could bring her to a rehearsal. So a beautiful siren appeared in the group - Lisa Shadrina (Karkina). In this composition, the group began to conquer the hearts of informal and not only youth of Udmurtia. At the same time, the group is working on its debut album, "The Art of Drum", which will be released in autumn 2009. Later, in the winter of 2010, it was reissued, but in it they only rewritten the guitars and brought them out a little louder. Then there were concerts, advertising, etc., there were several off-site performances. During performances, they get acquainted with a group fan, Jana Lindarska. Having talked a little, they offer her to become a backing vocalist, to which Yana naturally agrees. Later, Yana replaces Lisa at performances when Lisa can’t come, because she lives at that moment not in Izhevsk, but with her husband in Sarapul. In June, the band joins the bass player, Roman Romanov. They give several more concerts and the recording of a new album begins. The album cannot be recorded quickly, since by that time Maxim Gankov was also leaving Izhevsk. So, work is moving, and by March 2011 they’re releasing their second album, Touch Through Glass. This is a completely different album in sound, it is more symphonic, melodic, atmospheric. But overall, these two albums complement each other.Now the group is heading for the modernization of Russian Gothic culture, and subsequent albums will definitely not repeat their predecessors. In addition, the group continues to actively support the album . At the end of spring 2013, the musicians released their third full-length album, "Trans For Sister."
