Skip Farrell was a baritone vocal crooner. Born: October 9, 1918, Jacksonville, IL Died May 8, 1962, of a heart attack in Hollywood, California. He began on the radio. After moving to Chicago, he became one the town's most popular singers. He moved to Hollywood and switched to acting in late 1950's. He had a weekly musical tv show on NBC that lasted 8 months. Skip was the host of The Skip Farrell Show on ABC-Radio (1947); ABC-TV (1949); Big City Serenade on NBC-Radio (1951-1953). He was associated with Walt Disney studios beginning in 1959, including in The Magical World of Disney Elfego Baca TV series and as an off-stage singing voice in other shows. He crooned the song "I'm Blue for You, Boo-Boo-Boo-Boo-Boo" in the 1962 Walt Disney Productions "A Symposium on Popular Songs", a special cartoon featurette.
