Yair Lapid

Yair Lapid (born born 5 November 1963, Tel Aviv) is currently the Leader of the Opposition in Israel. In 2022 he served a few months as the Prime Minister of the country. Prior to entering politics in 2012 Lapid had a successful career as a journalist, TV news anchor, talk show host, film actor, screenwriter, playwright, writer and lyricist. He is the author of ten books including six novels, two children's books, and a collection of his newspaper columns. He wrote lyrics as well as scripts for the musical drama television series Ha-Hofesh Ha'Acharon in 1989 and has periodically written songs for both television and for popular musicians, including Israeli pop star Sarit Hadad.
