After six years as a DJ and four as a music producer, he decides to continue his artistic career as Matt Mirenda, stopping using Matijay as a pseudonym. Matt Mirenda leaves behind the techno and minimal sounds that For years they have accompanied them, keeping them as a memory among the most beautiful experiences that they have lived in the course of their career to this day, as well as the support that great artists have given them such as: Carl Cox, Dubfire, Joy Kitikonti, and so on. The Argentine tour (September 2012 – March 2013) is definitely the main cause of the change. The influences of the progressive genre in an underground style, soon become a true philosophy of life for the artist. In search of the best arpeggio, ever more rolling grooves and melodies that leave listeners in a state of "mental trip", Matt Mirenda begins to live in a totally uncontrolled way. Together with an Argentine musician and composer friend, he works every night until lunchtime, resting during the day, during those moments when the frenzy of the world leaves no room for inspirations and the purest arts. Everything starts again at 9:00 p.m. :00 in the afternoon. The mates are too sugary, the alfajores, the invoices, the asado, the pizzas, the fernet and the bottles of beer are elements that are always present during this period of experimentation. The results arrive immediately, after returning to Europe, Matt Mirenda signs contracts with several record companies already dedicated to the world of progressive and deep house, such as: OLD SQL Recordings, Mistique Music, and several sub-labels of Proton Music. Now, the waves of the sea steal land from the sandy desert, and the strong ocher color leaves space for the green of the forests and orchards, but, like a rushing river, it follows inspiration.
