Buddy Williams (3)

US bandleader, composer, arranger, saxophonist and drummer from Philadelphia, worked with the orchestras of Glenn Miller and Jimmy Dorsey. After the Army he formed in April 1946 his own band. In 1953 he and his wife Gertrude opened a restaurant in Lambertville, NJ, while making their permanent home in New Hope, PA. In the 1950s and 1960s he still led his own band and played occasionally on college campuses in the Philadelphia area. Father of Buddy Deppenschmidt.
