British classical cellist. Born in London, England. He studied at The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama. After leaving the Guildhall, he was appointed Principal Cellist of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, becoming the youngest Principal in the UK at the age of 21. Principal Cello with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (1995-2008). Principal Cello of the Philharmonia Orchestra since January 2010. Member of the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra.
