Mr. Chicken was one of the founding members of the Dutty Cup Crew. Chicken, along with Sean Paul before he was a chart-topping artist, was a part of the Dutty Cup Crew that was established in 1994, alongside Uncle Mucks (formerly Kid Kurup), Mossy Kid, Looga Man, Daddigon, and Froggy. It wasn’t until 1998 that Mr. Chicken made his mark after he garnered solo success with “Speak Up.” Chicken later moved on from Renaissance to work with other producers before settling into work on his own in 2006. At the time of his death from complications following a stroke in 2020, DJ Chicken was working with Q45.
