Since I was in my teens, the thought of writing music for orchestras and large groups of musicians, to inspire sound in a multitude of individual instrumental colours and humans, evoked an unexplainable passion in me. That very drive inspired me to become a composer. Having worked with many ensembles around the world, I now know that bringing the psychology and emotions of humans into dialogue with each other, and making them resonate with each other within the frames of a musical form, is an incredible and privileged way of achieving a higher metaphysical experience in art. Using themes from ancient and contemporary mythology, modern fantasy, l'art fantastique and even comics in my compositions, I search to touch the audience, transforming and renewing the Western romantic tradition in a new century where everything is allowed, and to deconstruct the barriers between popular and classical culture. Within fantasy and visions, the human potential lies hidden, a yearning and undiscovered invention.
