American composer and orchestra leader (b. January 13, 1873 Chicago, Illinois - ). Frantzen was of Danish heritage, but born in the U.S. Between at least 1904 and 1930, he lived in New York City (Brooklyn and Manhattan), working, for example, as a printer for a music publisher, then as an orchestra leader who recorded a few songs with Victor. Among Frantzen's most popular compositions are "College Life March and Two Step" (1905), "Sing A Good Old Ragtime Song" (1909), and "Motor King" (1910).
