Giampietro Favero

Italian photographer settled in New York. Appreciated for his monochrome fashion photography, comes into the music world for his close cooperation with Maripol (fashion designer and stylist who has had an influence on the looks of many relevant artists, including Grace Jones, Deborah Harry and Madonna). During the post-production of Downtown 81 (a movie starring Jean-Michel Basquiat) she introduced him to the film's executive producer Michael Zilkha, ZE Records co-founder. Favero is the author along with August Darnell of Animal Crackers from the album Fresh Fruit In Foreign Places by Kid Creole And The Coconuts (1981).
