German guitarist with international acclaim, born in Saarbruecken in 1954. In the early 1970s Weigel established -together with his friend Pierre Jehl from Ostheim (Colmar, France) - a group called "Jehli Un Weigli". They performed Weigel´s song composition on texts by Jehl an a few contemporary alsatian poets. Later Weigel started his international career as a performer.
