Debuted with song „5 minute“ with own lyrics from a russian song. 1940 her family established in Cluj-Napoca, and begin studies at St. Teresa High School Attended the Conservatory „Gheorghe Dima“ Cluj-Napoca, after which he worked at Cluj-Napoca Operetta Theatre, and later at the Theatre „Contantin Tanase“ from Bucharest. 1954 engaged at the Theatre „Savoy“ Bucharest and made her debut in the play „Magazinul de stat“ with actors Nicolae Stroe and Zizi Șerban. Between 1972 and 1973 was part of the artistic team of the Theatre „Ion Vasilescu“, Bucharest that touring European countries. She performed on stage at the Olympia Theatre in Paris and Revis Bobino, Montparnasse, Paris. Had a son, Laurențiu (estabished in Canda) second husband was Constantin Barbu (whom married in New York, 1985 until 2003 when he died from hearth attack). Song „Replici“ composed by Laurențiu Profeta a sung in duet with Cornel Constantiniu becomes national hit. The song „Ce-ți doresc eu ție dulce Românie“ composed by Ileana Toader with Mihai Eminescu lyrics also becomes a national hit.
