Daihachi Oguchi

Japanese drummer, born February 27, 1924 in Okaya City, Japan and died June 27, 2008 in Tokyo, Japan. He invented kumi-daiko, the taiko ensemble, in which each player beats a different taiko - so the ensemble functions as a huge drum set.
