Rollie Culver

American jazz drummer, born October 29, 1908, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, died December 8, 1984, in Culver City, California. Culver took up drums in 1930 and played for close to a decade with Wally and Heinie Beau in Wisconsin. Joined Red Nichols in 1941, working regularly with him from 1945 until Nichols's death in 1965. He also played on many film soundtracks.
