Escamillo

Josep Pons Ortiz, 'Escamillo' or 'Pepe Escamillo' (Barcelona, 1920- Barcelona, January 16, 1987) was a Spanish actor, comedian, and music-hall star, one of the first figures of the popular music-hall theater of Barcelona El Molino. In 1955 he had to leave Spain because of a confrontation with the censorship and returned in 1958. Suffering from diabetes, he retired professionally in 1982 due to health problems, but returned to perform at El Molino in 1985 sitting on a chair.
