Tse Williams is not only the owner of Nine Lives Entertainment but she is Ms. Nine Lives. She co-managed the film and recording careers of the hit Disney Recording group The Cheetah Girls, whose movies are among the highest rated TV movies in Disney history and whose albums have sold in excess of 4 million records worldwide. A graduate of Yale University, Ms. Williams spent several years at computer giant IBM as a “Large Account Manager” before joining RCA Records in the A&R department. Soon after joining RCA, she heard the demo for the then undiscovered girl group SWV and brought them to the attention of the VP of A&R who quickly signed the band. SWV went on to sell over a million records of their debut album, “It’s About Time.” During her tenure at RCA, Williams also discovered another national and international singing sensation Ce Ce Peniston. They were introduced to each other through a telephone audition arranged by family friends. Williams recognized Peniston’s talent immediately and sent her a ticket to New York City. Williams became her manager and quickly found her a record deal with A&M Records where Peniston recorded her first RIAA Certified Gold album, which included the international dance classic “Finally.” Williams has worked as Director of Publishing and A&R at Giant Music and Vice-President of Creative Services at the independent music publisher Zomba Music where she was responsible for the catalog of numerous “A List” writer/producers including R. Kelly and Teddy Riley. She was also Vice President of A&R at Universal Records. Among other notable accomplishments, Williams discovered the singer/writer/producer JOE. As his manager, she guided him through major label record deals with Mercury and Jive Record labels, two multi-platinum albums and the No. 1 most played record of 2000 “I Wanna Know.” JOE is still considered by many to be the best male singer in R&B. After observing the phenomenal success of pop acts such as Britney Spears, N-Sync and The Backstreet Boys, Williams developed the girl group 3LW and partnered with Sony/Epic Records to record and distribute their debut LP, “3LW.” The album, which Williams executive produced, was certified Double Platinum, the teen phenoms earned two “Lady of Soul Awards,” appeared and performed on numerous nationally televised shows and toured domestically and internationally with the bands N-Sync and Destiny’s Child among others. Tse is currently developing new talent and other projects.
