Luis D'Ubaldo (b. 1936, San Sebastián de Los Reyes, Aragua – d. Marzo, 18, 1993, Turmero, Aragua). Venezuelan singer, also known as "La Voz de Oro de Venezuela", a tenor vocal who gained most of singer contest where he participated. In his early years as a child D'Ubaldo won a challenge on the prestigious "Víctor Saume's Show". In 1960 recorded his first musical job, title "Nace un Astro", ten years after landed in Cuba to record his second LP. In 1970 D'Ubaldo obtained the first prize on "Festival de La Canción Moderna de Venezuela" with the song "Por Favor Muchas Gracias" composed by Billo Frómeta. The Next year won the "Festival de la Voz de Oro", in Barquisimeto. He sang "Mi Gran Amor" Written by Germán Fernando and orchresteted by Juan Domene. In 1976 representing his motehrland in "Festival de La Canción de Puerto Rico" with a composition written by Manuel Graterol Santander and Luis Cruz, with a fabulous orchrestation by Alberto Naranjo, Venezuela gained the first prize for best singer, song and arranger. D'Ubaldo continued his successful step and tripped to Perú where he won in 1978 the "Festival de la Canción de Trujillo". D'Ubaldo shared with Juan Vicente Torrealba's group and recorded with Velvet and Discos León.
