Об исполнителе:
Madame Luckerniddle was a band formed in 1998 around Tom Cora to play music for the play "Sainte Jeanne Des Abattoirs" by Bertolt Brecht, directed by Marie-Noël Rio. The music was half written (by Cora), and half improvised by the band comprising Cora himself, Zeena Parkins, and his Roof colleagues Luc Ex and Michael Vatcher. They played the musical version of Brecht's play throughout January and February 1998 in Alsace (France), with an additional unique concert in Colmar without any staging (documented on 6806118). The band was booked for the festival Musique Action in Vandoeuvre on May 1998. The tragic death of Tom Cora in April 1998 only a few weeks before the festival, put an end to this project, but not before his friends gathered on stage for a spontaneous hommage to Cora, with an augmented last line-up of Madame Luckerniddle. "Madame Luckerniddle" is the name of a character of the play "Sainte Jeanne Des Abattoirs".
