Enrique Sánchez Alonso

Mexican musician and composer, Enrique Sánchez Alonso, nicknamed El Negrumo, was a composer and performer of popular romantic music. In 1934 he composed “Culiacán. He was born on December 4, 1915, died in Culiacán on July 11, 1989. Among his creations are also “Declaración”, “Quince minutos”, “Corazonada” y “Dios no lo quiera”. As a child he learned to play the guitar; Young man he formed trios and became famous in the region when the serenades were at their peak. Right away he became interested in promoting his music and that was how he arrived in Mexico City, where with the América Quartet he joined the XEW; There he met Pedro Infante, his great friend and later his compadre, whom he accompanied on his tours of the country and the United States.
