Laura Gallo

Singer-songwriter, poet, multidisciplinary artist, popular music performer, pedagogue. She was born in the city of Buenos Aires in 1981. After completing Education Sciences in the UBA, and moving through formal education and popular education -mostly from a gender perspective-, she decided -or had no choice- to dedicate her life to art. She began her singing training. She took dance seminars, theatre improvisation. She is self-taught in writing and art. She composes songs, fusing different rhythms with folkloric airs, and weaves lyrics with poetry and content. It addresses issues related to women, land, feeling, justice, from a subjective perspective, appealing to collective construction. Currently, she is accompanied by Nahuel Rivero on guitar, Gerado de Mónaco on double bass and Carlos Rivero on percussion. They participate in their performances Lautaro Huerin on piano, Eliezer Freitas Santos on percussion, Alejandro Franov on accordion and Marina Santillán on singing.
