Об исполнителе:
Born Ballater, Aberdeenshire 1910 – Died Aberdeen, 1987. An outstanding mouth organ player from Aberdeenshire who recorded extensively for the Beltona label between 1929 and 1939. Born in the Scottish town of Ballater in 1910, Donald Davidson played harmonica from a very early age. By the late 1920s, Davidson was broadcasting regularly on the Aberdeen radio station 2BD and was heard by a talent scout who signed him up for Beltona Records. Over the next decade, he recorded about 40 sides for Beltona, … interestingly, they were performed on a chromatic tremolo harmonica he built himself, something his record company felt obliged to bring to their customers’ attention.
