Splinter Reeves

Australian jazz saxophonist and reed player (b. Jarrahdale, Western Australia 9 Jan., 1924 - d. Tweed Heads, NSW 23 Jan., 1987) Started playing saxophone aged 11, and worked in Perth bands 1939-1940. Went to Melbourne in 1941 and worked with various bands . Formed Splitette in 1948. Toured New Zealand 1954 with Follies Berger's show. In Channel 9 Orchestra 1964-1970.
