Sea Horses

Sea Horses hailed from Congleton/Macclesfield, UK and released their first album in 1988 on the Mandala Label. Left to right they are Clare Williams, Simon Creaghan, Richard Veal, Jo Bromley and Liz Bromley (twins). They went on to record two more albums and perform a series of gigs before disbanding. The band were produced by Dave Goodman, who part-financed recording sessions along with Richard Veal and Simon Creaghan. Shortly after they disbanded, John Squires of Stone Roses decided to call his new band 'The Seahorses'. Richard informed the music press who gave the matter coverage, resulting in publicity for both bands. Eventually, Chris Squires bought the name.
