Band Members DIM (vox, el.guitars) - SOTIRIS (el.& ac.guitars) - RENOS ( keys, piano) - THEO (bass) - JOHN (drums) Home Town Athens - HELLAS Record Label Leaders Records SEPTEMBER CODE were formed in 2002, and almost immediately begun composing original material. They switched to English lyrics and formed a distinct personal sound which was reflected in their new songs Having already stabilized their current composition, they simultaneously began to acquire a unique and personal sound. Their intensive beats and lyrical ballads are melodic, but sometimes hard – progressive, yet direct. Simply put, their music is a fusion of the various influences that the five separate musicians spent so many years combining into one single band. They were playing concerts around Greece for three years, before they decided to record their songs. The result was the 2006 debut album, entitled “2 Smiles Ago”. The CD was rated high in magazines and radio stations, and as a result they got more gigs and shows. In 2009 they replaced their original singer Loukas Panourgias with singer/guitarist Dim Koskinas, and decided to compose and record new songs they have been working some time ago. The album is entitled “Remembering Mirrors” (2013), recorded and produced by Mark Adrian, Athanasios Alatas (*award-winning guitarist- songwriter, music producer) & September Code at ARTemis Studios , Athens, and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Studios, New York. It is a concept album and reveals some of September’s Code wide range of influences. “Remembering Mirrors” was critically acclaimed from the media, and earned them a place in HRH Prog 2, in North Wales in 2014. After their performance there, they immediately begun to record their 3rd album (2016, March), which is entitled just...”III”! Once again they worked with Mark Adrian, who also mixed the album. This time John Astley at Close To The Edge Studios, U.K (Porcupine Tree, Tori Amos, among many others...) took over the mastering. An invitation came to play again in the HRH Prog 4, in North Wales, along with bands such as Ian Anderson, Focus, Soft Machine, Caravan. Official site: https://septembercode.wixsite.com/septembercode
