Ray Miller's Black and White Melody Boys were quite active in the New York Jazz scene between 1917 and 1920 playing extended engagements at Maxim's Cafe and touring the vaudeville curcuit as a featured act in Ed Wynn's Carnival Company. The band was billed as "The Incomparable Singing Jazz Orchestra" and featured Tom Brown on trombone. After 1923 the band's records were released as Ray Miller and his Orchestra.
