Rocking Horse
Настоящее имя: Rocking Horse

Rocking Horse was one of the nicknames used by the Superobots group, in this case mostly for compsing theme songs for non-robot related cartoons & anime. The name of Superobots was used for 45 RPMs for the robotic line, but given the success achieved by the initials, the need to use pseudonyms to differentiate the disks and not to inflate the market emerged. For this reason, in 1980, Douglas Meakin founded with Mike Fraser the parallel Rocking Horse group for "non-robotic" production, in which the same artists alternated substantially: Aldo Tamborrelli, Vito Tommaso, Fratelli Balestra and Lucio Macchiarella. Their greatest achievements were the initials of the famous Japanese character Candy Candy, who reached the third position of the singles, with more than five hundred thousand copies sold and Lulù, which sold three hundred thousand. The group has never had a steady training, but has seen the mix of several great musicians, Douglas Meakin (vocals and guitars), Dave Sumner (guitars), Mike Fraser (piano), Mick Brill (bass) and Marvin Johnson (battery). Since 1999, the band has resumed playing their old songs, keeping the name of Superobots.
