Blues and boogie piano player, born March 8, 1905 in Memphis, Tennessee, but moved to Chicago in childhood, and died there in 1997. Although he was active as a musician already in the late 1920s-1930s, playing with Lonnie Johnson, Homesick James, Big Joe Williams, Billy Boy Arnold, and others, he didn't make any recordings until the 1960s.
