Thores Trio
Настоящее имя: Thores Trio
Об исполнителе:
Swedish music group from Båtskärsnäs in Norrbotten, which was formed in 1933 under the name Thor-Allan's band, and consisted of the three brothers Tore Allan Nilsson on accordion and violin, Gösta on saxophone and mandolin and Eskil on drums, in 1936 the band changed its name to Thores Trio, and instead of Gösta and Eskil, added sister Nanna Helin on guitar and vocals. Stig Vikström played bass for a few years and in 1945 Nanna's future husband Erik Helin joined on bass. The repertoire has consisted mainly of foxtrot, tango, hambo, schottis and more, often with a clear political message in the lyrics. They thereby won appreciation in the progressive music movement, which led to them in 1981 in collaboration with Tomas Forssell being able to release an LP called Thores Trio. They often played in Båtskärsnäs Folkets Hus, and also with Baskeriamatörerna, which was the village's own revue. They played all over Sweden, and had tours. Some other places where the regulars played were in Nikkala-, Koskullskulle- and Seskarö Folkets Hus. When Thore died in 1996, the band ended, but the couple Nanna and Erik Helin continued to play for themselves as long as they both lived.
