David Mee Lee (aka David Mee-Lee) is an Australian of Chinese ancestry. He was born in Brisbane, Queensland on August 9, 1949. In 1968 he was the publicity officer for QUSDAS (Queensland University Seventh-day Adventist Society). He wrote some articles for the publication as well. In or around 1970 six songs that wrote and recorded were released on a six track EP. Accompanying him was David Smallbone on double bass. The EP, 4457698 featured "The Latter Rain Won't Fall", "There Is A Friend" and "I'd Rather See A Sermon". The songs were recorded by Bruce Window. A small advertisement for the EP appeared in the July 7, 1970 edition of the Seventh Day Adventist magazine, Australasian Record. At the time of his marriage in December 1972, he was a doctor at the Brisbane General Hospital and doing his residency there. He later moved to the United States and as of 2020 has been practicing as a psychiatrist and addiction specialist physician. He has been effective in making changes within the Healthcare Industry. His son Taylor Mee Lee is a musician.
