American pianist and one of the most legendary barbershop musical arrangers of all time. Born in Baltimore, MD on December 8, 1931 Died on May 2, 2006 (age of 74). Ed graduated from Princeton University in 1953, where he played piano for Stan Rubin And His Tigertown Five his senior year. Ed went on to become the treasurer and later President of the Barbershop Harmony Society and was a member of many barbershop quartets and choruses. His most notable quartet was the New Yorkers who won the 1982 Mid-Atlantic District championship. He arranged music for several championship barbershop quartets and choruses and many of his arrangements are still sung today. He was inducted to the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Hall Of Fall in 2005.
