Juan Laforga, aka Frecuencia 666 was born and raised in the 60s in Valladolid, and he has been a cultural agitator ever since the minute he put his feet on the dancefloor. There, Juan started to throw the first parties of the Spanish transition era, bringing together the most eclectic English sound, all the way from post-punk towards the hyped electronic sound of the era (he names Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode as major influences back then). In 1982, whims of fate took him to Valencia to comply with the mandatory military service. There he bumped La Ruta del Bacalao at its best, meeting Fran Lenaers, Tony el Gitano or Carlos Simo. La Ruta was probably one of the most important cultural events of Spanish musical heritage, and Juan Laforga was collaborating and inspiring some of the most iconic parties in venues such as Chocolate, Spook, or Barraca. Nurtured by the unique and vanguardist Valencian sound, he started to craft his music with synthesizers and rhythm machines, with big beat, techno, and dub influences.
