Об исполнителе:
US group from New Rochelle, NY. The band started in 1958 and was managed by songwriter, Jimmy Krondes. They featured a then-unknown (outside of town) Karl Hammel. Hammel played guitar with the band, but when they performed locally, he also sang. The band also backed up other groups who were passing thru. Though he does't sing on this release (their only record), it is Hammel who does the whistling on "Bounty Hunter". Bill Parilla played lead gutar, while the rest of the band was filled out with Jerry Funnicello on drums and Danny DeCosa.on sax and bass. The band basically split after this record because of the direction that Krondes wanted to take them by having them take on more of a Ventures sound. Bill soon ended up serving time in the Army, while Karl pursued a vocal solo career with Krondes still backing him up. Information was gotten directly from Bill Parilla. As close as they were at the time ("joined at the hip"), the band knew nothing of Karl's earlier recording ventures with Krondes on GONE Records. "Bounty Hunter" would be covered by Al Caiola and used as the flip side to his version of "Bonanza".
