Wrecking Ball (2)

Wrecking Ball started in late 2000 when 4 friends began getting together every week to hang out and have fun. We all loved hardcore music and began to write some songs for the fun of it, so Wrecking Ball began. Originally, Matt Evans, who had sung for another hardcore group, took vocal duties, Tim Lambesis, of As I Lay Dying/ (Life Once Lost), played guitar, Lawrence Machado played bass, and Matt's brother, Jason Evans, played drums. After a while, Tim left for Texas to play for Society's Finest. Jason was, at the time, playing in another band, Skratchline, with Jasun Krebs and others. Jasun had previously played in Edge of Mortality and when they broke up, began to play with Skratchline. When Tim left the three knew that Jasun was the only man for the job. So, Jason and Jasun quit Skratchline and began focusing on the new group. Matt Young from In This Victory joined the band later the band to play bass and Lawrence moved to guitar. The name started as a joke but we didn't have a name for our first show, so someone put Wrecking Ball on the flyers. It just stuck after that.
