English serial killer referred to in the media as The Yorkshire Ripper Born June 2, 1946 in Bingley, Yorkshire, England Died November 13, 2020 in Durham, England Active between 1975 and 1980, he was convicted of murdering 13 women and attempting to murder seven others. Arrested in January 1981, he was found guilty in May 1981, being sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of thirty years. In 2011, this was changed by the HIgh Court of Justice to a whole life order.
