American record store owner, producer and label owner Born: 30th October 1932 Wichita, Kansas, USA Died: 12th May 2021 Chicago, Illinois, USA Known as Bob. Founder and owner of Delmar Records - named after the street of his first store - later changed to Delmark Records. Moved to Chicago in 1958 and opened the first Jazz Record Mart store which has gone on to be a Chicago institution. He sold the store in 2016 and opened the smalled Bob's Blues & Jazz Mart a few months later. Husband of Susan Koester.
