British artist, filmmaker (documentaries, animation, experimental films) and musician (flute and oboe player). Charlotte would play flute, fife and pan pipes on 3799013, the only released album by The Fates (2), Una Baines’ band. This came out on Taboo in late 1985, and featured a guest appearance by Martin Bramah. During this time Charlotte was involved in the recording of Extricate (she’s credited with flute on I’m Frank) and also played a few gigs, beginning with the Cambridge Corn Exchange on July 12, 1989. After Charlotte’s brief Fall involvement she played with Nocturnal Emissions. She played flute and oboe on Magnetized Light, Musica Maxima Magnetica and Blasphemous Rumours, on which Charlotte’s instruments were “disarranged and decomposed by Ayers. She also made some documentaries for Westcountry Television, including Junkyard Romance in 1995, and for the BBC “about troubled teens”.
