Glass joined the influential indie dance label Sam Records (his father-in-law Sam Weiss (2)'s label) working with Gary's Gang, John Davis and the Monster Orchestra and the Evasions. Glass joined Chrysalis Records in 1983 and in 1989 he joined SBK Records and later rose to President/CEO of the "EMI Record Group North America". In 1996, Glass started Rising Tide Records (subsequently Universal Records) with Doug Morris. In 1999 he joined Artemis Records. In 2007, he founded Glassnote Entertainment Group, encompassing a music label, publishing company, artist management, and merchandising. In 2017 Daniel started a management company whose current roster includes Starcrawler and Liily. Father of Sean Glass, DJ and founder of Win Music.
