Gila Beshari

Gila Beshari, originally from Moshav Ishi, Israel, is a singer best known for her interpretations of traditional Yemenite Jewish music. Her parents came to Israel from Yemen in 1948. She was part of the Hatikvah Workshop Community Theatre in the 1970s together with another well known singer with Yemenite roots, Ofra Haza. Beshari has recorded and released solo albums since the early 1980s.
