Charanga Típica Nacional de Concierto

Cuban orchestra founded in the year 1960 by the pianist and researcher Odilio Urfé and since its inception its repertoire was nurtured by the main representative genres of the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century in Cuba: mainly the contradanza, the danza and the danzón . Orquesta Charanga Típica de Conciertos: The importance of this orchestra is that it rescues, discloses and defends in its original style the French charanga, that is, the sound-musical result both from the timbral point of view as well as from the harmonic and rhythmic general of this group.
