American grindcore band from West Orange, New Jersey. Formed in 1991, Taste of Fear was formed by Daryl Kahan, singer of the hardcore punk band Citizens Arrest. The band combined grindcore with hardcore punk and thrash. Taste of Fear’s self-titled full-length debut came in 1994, and was their only full-length release. Taste of Fear however also contributed to half a dozen split releases before breaking up in 2009.
