Antonio Neilley

Australian solo tubaist, born April 3, 1983. He was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He is living in Sweden and working at Malmö Opera Orchestra. In Australia he studied for Steve Rossé (tubaist in the Sydney Symphony). He later moved to Zurich, Switzerland, to take his master's degree at the Zurich University of the Arts, under prof. Anne Jelle Visser (international artist at Yamaha and former tuba player at the Zurich Opera). In 2010, Antonio became one of the finalists in the International Brass and Woodwind Competition in Jeju, South Korea. In 2015, he was invited to take part in a tour with the Australian World Orchestra to India, under Maestro Zubin Mehta. Antonio will play with AWO again during the 2018 season, then under Maestro Riccardo Muti. During his active years, Antonio has participated in some of the world's most respected ensembles, including the Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony, New Zealand Symphony, Zurich Opera and the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
