Musician, record producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist and singer, Vizcaya has built a diversified career focused on mixing traditional MPB with the electronic universe. His first prominent work, still signed as George M., was in 2012, when he produced, wrote, played and did backing vocals on the track "Olhos Castanhos", performed by Daniel Peixoto and present in the soap opera "Lado a Lado" on Rede Globo. . In his other project, Las bibas from Vizcaya, aimed at the LGBTQI+ public, he already has a consolidated musical work in more than 10 albums and hundreds of singles, and we also highlight his remixes for the track "Seu Crime" by Pabllo Vittar, “ Maybe you're a the problem” by American pop star Ava Max, and "Imperfect" by diva Joi Cardwell and etc. In 2020, Vizcaya left its mark by signing four of the six remixes present in the commemorative EP of the 30-year career of the singer from Rio Grande do Sul, Adriana Calcanhotto, entitled "Remix Sec. XXI". The tracks "Senhas", "Mentiras", "Cantada" and "Esquadros" received electronic reinterpretations that maintained the melodic freshness and original lyrics. Still in 2020, Vizcaya released his first authorial and instrumental EP entitled "Canções de ninar para Plantas", an engaging mix of synthpop and trip-hop. The following year, in 2021, came the single "PONTO DE VISTA", a tribute to the iconic journalist Cristina Franco. In this song, Vizcaya used samples and excerpts from fashion texts recited by the journalist in her weekly column. After a long wait, finally, on June 6th, the date that marks Maysa's birth anniversary (06/06/1936), Vizcaya launches the project "Invite Para Remixar Maysa". In this work, Vizcaya brings an innovative approach by remixing six classics from Maysa's first three albums, released between 1956 and 1958. Using artificial intelligence technology, Vizcaya managed to separate instrument tracks and acapellas, bringing Maysa to a soundscape surrounded by synthesizers and software modern. With this project, Vizcaya wants to present Maysa's work to new generations, highlighting its importance for Brazilian music. In addition, he remixed other artists, such as Fafá de Belém, Vanusa and Dalto, bringing electronic reinterpretations of timeless classics. Vizcaya continues to challenge sonic boundaries and reveal his passion for music, proving that good music never gets old and never dies.
