Настоящее имя: Don Overberg
Об исполнителе:
American Jazz guitarist. Born: July 1931 East St Louis, Missouri Died December 24, 1997 (age 66). He began playing professionally when he was ten. He was sometimes credited as "Don Overburg" on several albums made early in his career, when he looked young enough to be handed a candy bar should he arrive at the door on Halloween Eve. He backed numerous headliners including Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross, B.B. King, Wayne Newton, Paul Anka, Steve Lawrence, Eydie Gorme, Tina Turner, and Elvis Presley among them. He came to Vegas in the late 1950s, looking for change from Los Angeles. He was still playing as late as 1964, in a group led by baritonist Steve Perlow in Las Vegas. The band has appeared in a series of concerts at local high schools and at the University of Nevada. When he died in Las Vegas at the age of 66, he had been part of bands that played on the Strip for more than 30 years, an experience that drained away his health as well as his youthful looks. His obituary in the Las Vegas newspapers spelled his last name "Overberg".
