Irish-American tenor (b. August 19, 1884 Sioux Fall, South Dakota - d. December 3, 1984 Columbia Falls, Montana, USA) After serving in France during World War I, Fogarty moved to New York in 1920 to study vocal music. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, he sang in vaudeville and performed on WEAF radio in New York, billed as the "Voice of the West" and hailed as a second John McCormack. In November 1934, he recorded eight mostly Irish songs for Decca in New York. During World War II, he served as an U.S.O. entertainer.
