Klara Korkan

Klara Danilovna Korkan (soloist, mezzo soprano) born on August 15, 1935 in Debaltsevo, Ukrainian SSR. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (09/04/1974). She graduated from the vocal department of the Chisinau Conservatory. Until 1959 she sang at the Chisinau Opera. Then, having married actor Viktor Sternberg (Виктор Штернберг), she went with him to Bryansk, where he worked at the local drama theater. Soloist of the State Academic Russian Choir of the USSR under the direction of A. Sveshnikov (Государственный Академический Русский Хор Им. А. В. Свешникова). Lives in Israel.
