Andy Moroz

Vermont-based pianist, trombonist, and composer. Graduating from Essex Jct. High School in 2000 where he had performed with Brass, Woodwinds, & Percussion under Charlie Duke, Moroz attended Hartt School of Music and then New School University where he studied under Steve Davis, Jackie McLean, Gary Valente, Jane Ira Bloom, Andrew Cyrille, and Charles Tolliver. Moroz majored in Jazz Performance. While in college, he joined Trey Anastasio's Band with whom he toured and recorded for four years. Returning to Vermont, Moroz performed with numerous local groups and taught at the University Of Vermont, Burlington, U.S.A. and Johnson State College. From 2010-2012 he toured as part of the orchestra for [m351126], and has been a regular member of Vermont's Discover Jazz Big Band.
