Barberi Paull

Author, composer, psychotherapist (1939 - 2021). Barberi Paull Feit, born Barbara Platt on July 27, 1939, was a sixth generation New Yorker and a piano prodigy at age 5, and later became prominent in the cultural and intellectual life of New York City. Barberi began her professional life in music. She was a piano prodigy as the age of 5. She was a composer with many concert works to her credit, including concrete\electronic compositions and music for film, and for dance. She wrote her own lyrics. Barberi studied composition at The Juilliard School of Music, with Pulitzer Prize winning composers Charles Wuorinen and Jacob Druckman. She was a fellow at Tanglewood in Choral Conducting and Composition, an assistant to Leonard Bernstein. Barberi also worked as a freelance photographers' model for most of her life, having been associated with both the Wagner Agency and with Ford Models, and in the last 30 years of her life, she worked as a psychotherapist, trained at New York University. She conceived of "The Angel Auberon", series writing the books and music. It began with the publication of the book "The Angel Chronicles: The Guardian Angels Books I-V by The Angel Auberon", the story of the beginning of human life and of how the assembly of guardian angels was formed to care for all living beings. In addition to having had her works published, Barberi has licensed for use many songs for young people. She had a licensing relationship with Silver Burdett and Ginn, the distinguished publisher of music programs for children in the schools. She created a musical character for Silver Burdett called Miranda the Ant introduced through songs and a package, which included a book, a costume, and choreography for a dance. With The Barberi Paull Musical Theater, Inc. she directed a respected company of artists that produced theater pieces and mixed media events across the United States. Through the Meet-The-Composer programs she took part in concerts of her music in live performances, on radio and television, both in the United States and abroad. She enjoyed retrospective concerts of her music and was interviewed on radio, television and in the press. She had a licensing relationship with Silver Burdett and Ginn, the distinguished publisher of music programs for children in the schools. Barberi was married to Glenn Martin Feit in 1991. Glenn was a graduate of the Wharton School, and Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He was a partner of the firm of Proskauer Rose LLP. While working in the oil and gas industry, he named an oil well in Oklahoma for Barberi. The couple created The Glenn Martin Feit and Barberi Paull Feit Charitable Trust.
